They may but it won't run outside of Facebook and it certainly won't happen in the next few months.
I agree. They may release an advertising product but I don't think they will compete directly with Google's AdSense. They will probably keep it in house to enable users to make money on their site but also to enable developers/companies make money of their popular applications...
