Take away what you like from it. With additional iPhone sales and other enhancement in AAPL revenue channel, $200/sh seems highly plausible over time. However, the main relevant question as it relates to this prediction is will it hit $200 by June 10th?

I am a huge Apple fan, but AAPL stock normally goes up the 2 months before the WWDC keynote and sometimes even goes down once the keynote happens when they don't make the HUGE expectations that are put on the keynote speech. Go Apple!

If June 9 is indeed the announcement of 3G iPhone (amongst other things like .Mac, etc), the pricing has been reflected in the recent run up since February 2008 (around $120/sh).

Judgment on June 10, 2008: As David correctly points out below, Apple's stock did not close at or above $200 by the closing bell today. This prediction has been judged at S$0. -- The Industry Standard

Original Prediction:

As of the writing of this prediction on June 3, Apple’s stock price is at $185.37. With the coming iPhone announcements at the WWDC expected to wow analysts and consumers alike, $200 is within sight, as is, perhaps, the 10 million iPhones sold threshold that Jobs and company have set for themselves.

This is a prediction that Apple’s stock price will have hit at least $200.01 by the closing bell on June 10th. Betting on this prediction will close on June 8th. Note that the $200.01 threshold does not need to be the closing price for favorable judgment – it need only have been the high at some time before the closing bell on the 10th. If by some stroke of luck the stock hits $200.01 or above before the closing of bets on the 8th, we will immediately close and judge the prediction favorably.
